You should definitely do that! The game's graphics are lower by today's standards, I will admit, but the gameplay is great. And it remains one of my all-time favorites. It's not the first video game I ever played, but it's definitely the first game I can remember playing fanatically for hours on end, trying to beat every level, learn every secret, push every game mechanic to its limit (the mechanics are so great in and of themselves that you can have tons of fun just dicking around outside the castle it's a basic game design lesson a lot of modern developers could stand to learn).

Oh man, Super Mario 64, where do I even start? I wrote my college admissions essay about the game, for fuck's sake! This may be just a small innuendo, but it's in a kid's game, which freaked me out a tiny bit when I first discovered it. If you don't believe me, you can play through each of the levels and find that out for yourself (although some of the 1-ups are very well hidden, so you'll have to search the levels from everywhere). I actually played the game and looked for all of the 1-up mushrooms, and believe me, there are 6 in each Bowser level. I thought that was worth sharing, but not worth making a video out of it. Just in case you didn't know, the number 666 is believed to be a satanic number by some religions, and for that number to be implied in a game seems a bit creepy, even though I don't believe 666 is a satanic number. Having 3 levels of the same type in a row, all containing 6 mushrooms, kind of gave me the impression that the developers were implying the number '666'. When I looked up the amount of 1-Up mushrooms located in each of the Bowser levels ( ), I discovered that all 3 Bowser levels contain 6 1-Up mushrooms.
